The Markgrafen day-care centre, which is surrounded by a large garden, was renovated in 2014 and expanded into a two-story building. The children have access to a variety of bright and spacious rooms including a large movement room. In the facility, 95 children aged from one year to school entry live, learn and develop. On the ground floor as well as on the first floor there is a nest group for the youngest children up to 2.5 years and an open group for the older children, who work in a semi-open environment. Throughout the house, we organize the children"s daily routine according to the situation-oriented approach, which focuses on the interests and needs of the children.
Since the daycare year 2020/21, there is a higher focus on lived multilingualism. The multinational team offers a large repertoire of different languages, currently German, English and Spanish.
