We are looking for a new colleague with a passion for working with childrenages three and under in an interdisciplinary bilingual team! Our new Kita, Kinzigstraße 18, opened February 2020. Previously located and named Stralauer Allee, the new Kita is rather a continuation and expansion of the earlier Kita, which successfully operated for more than 12 years. The Kita is both inclusive and bilingual in accordance to the immersion concept. The multi-professional team consists to one half of German and one half of English native speakers who accompany and support the children in their individual development. The children experience both languages as a natural part of everyday life at the Kita.

Bilingual Inclusion Kita Kinzigstraße 18

  • 50 children, with two nursery groups (under 3 yrs.) and two Kindergarten groups (over 3 yrs.)
  • Very good personnel ratio (12 to 14 employees)
  • Bilingual Inclusion Kita with a professional interdisciplinary and international team
  • The kindergarten is run by the non-profit oXxymoron GmbH which operates three day-care centres, a family centre and its own kitchen at the location.

    What We Require

  • You have a relevant qualification to work with children with special needs in a Berlin day-care center e.g. professional educator for integration, , inclusion or an educator for special needs.
  • You are a team player with an open mind and can communicate well with others.
  • You bring your own personal initiative and are motivated to improve yourself and your surroundings.You have a keen interest in inclusive work in a bilingual context.
  • German language skills on expert level (minimum B2 level ).
