The Role:
To provide 1-1 care with Autistic adults, helping them where possible to develop and become more independent. Including reviewing of care and personal plans and providing support and encouragement in the tasks of household, personal and group management.
Requirements:
Good English language skills
Understanding of disabilities, specifically Autism
Understanding of Person Centred Approach
Knowledge and experience of challenging behaviours
Willingness to do care work
Willingness to commit for 1 year
Good team-working skills
Good independent working
Driving license
Willingness to work flexible hours (including late shifts & weekends)

Clients present with challenging behaviour and they cannot be cured, which means the workers will have to be able to manage their behaviour positively, as this is not going to change.
There are two homes; the one you would potentially be working in is two houses converted to one to make up 4 self contained flats each housing two residents. You will be providing 1-1 care.
